3 Layer Polyethylene (3LPE) Coating
With its unique capability to endure heterogeneous temperatures and environments ranging from dessert dry lands to deep underwater regions, 3 layer polyethylene coated pipes are the preferred choice for transmission of oil, gas, drinking water and other fluids around the world.
3-layer polyethylene coating (3LPE) is a multilayer coating composed of three functional components:
The 3LPE System achieves superior long term corrosion resistance and excellent mechanical protection for small and large diameter pipelines operating at as high temperature as 60°C to 80°C . At Hind Metal, we apply the 3LPE system in a wide range of thicknesses to meet project specifications and requirements. The three coating layers in 3-LPE coated pipe are as follows:
Features We Protect
- Excellent chemical resistance properties
- Resistance to cathodic disbandment
- Resistance to moisture permeability
- Prevention of steel pipe from corrosion
- Prevention from any physical damages to either the pipes or the fusion bonded epoxy during handling
- High performance characteristics
- Extended life cycle
Bond Strength We Provide
The external 3LPE coating and lining performed at Hind Metal is bonded firmly to the mild steel pipe surface and the mean adhesion strength is 125 kg/cm² (ASTM D 4541)
Working Life We Promise
At Hind Metal, we promise consistent performance characteristics of our 3LPE coated pipes throughout the service life span of 75 years
